NYCC 2012: The First 'Iron Man 3' Toys Were Revealed At The Hasbro Party

The pre-New York Comic-Con 2012 Hasbro party was exactly the type of extravaganza Tony Stark would have been proud to attend-- and cause a scene at. Food, drinks, music, and fun were in abundance, and the festivities were all surrounded by upcoming toy reveals for 2013. With Marvel Studios' "Iron Man 3" hitting next summer, Hasbro had a few items on hand including the larger Arc Strike Iron Man (sporting the Mark VIII armor) and an entirely new line of Micro Muggs!

The Iron Man 3 Micro Muggs are just like the regular Mighty Muggs, but tiny-- hence the properly descriptive label. These guys look to be only a little over an inch tall and run the gamut of different Iron Man incarnations from the third film, all the way to the classic stealth armor from the Marvel comic books.

The other plastic version of Stark on display was the Arc Strike Iron Man. The figure is designed with the armor Tony will be sporting as he saves the day in "Iron Man 3". It is around 10" tall and is in the same style as the electronic figures Hasbro has released in the past for "Thor", "Captain America: The First Avenger", & "The Avengers". His eyes and chest light up at the push of a button and he'll have a bunch of sound effects.

The Arc Strike Iron Man has a secondary action feature that hasn't been previously done in any Hasbro release. His head is weighted and balanced to that he always looks forward, even in flying position! While this might not seem like all that great of a gimmick, let me tell you that it's surprisingly awesome when seeing it in person!

No release dates were set for these toys from "Iron Man 3", and no word on whether the 3 3/4" and 6" lines will be present, so I guess we'll have to wait until New York Toy Fair in February for any more Stark-related toy info.
