What If 'The Avengers' And 'The Hunger Games' Were Directed By Tim Burton

What if “The Avengers” was an animated feature directed by Tim Burton? Apparently, that's the question DevianArtist La-Chapeliere-Folle asked herself when she drew up these strangely Gothic, Nightmare Before Christmas-ish sketches depicting Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The sketches are undeniably great and look as if they came right off Tim Burton's drawing table. One detail I can't help but mention is the drink in Iron Man's hand -- it just seems to fit so well with this take on Tony Stark. Also, the fact that Captain America looks overly happy just cracks me up to no end. I don't know why exactly, there's just something funny to me about that half smile.

The second set offers up a look at big screen S.H.I.E.L.D agents Black Widow and Hawkeye, while taking an interesting approach on Bruce Banner and the Hulk. However, “The Avengers” isn't the only big screen hit La-Chapeliere-Folle tackled in the art style. Katniss and other characters from “The Hunger Games” also got the treatment and the sketches turned out just as well. They seem like they'd fit into the cast of a Burton film with ease.
