Whether you admit it or not, everyone has a nickname for their car or truck. Some folks even go so far as to emblazon the entire exterior of their ride with Autobot or Decepticon logos, unafraid to wave to that geek flag. However, these stock-looking automotive badges from Etsy seller Jason Davies take things a step further, offering up ultra geeky names for our rides like Fett S1 and Nimbus 2K.
Some of the emblems will even help you re-brand your vehicle entirely. For example, the Land Speeder emblem you see above parodies the Land Rover brand while clearly paying homage to the speeder Luke Skywalker drove back home on Tatooine. Another great Star Wars-themed emblem celebrates Han Solo and Chewbacca's starship. However, rather than coming right out and saying Millennium Falcon, the badge reads “Falcon: Millennium Edition.” There's also an AT-AT badge, but the best Star Wars versions have to be the Boba Fett ones, reading Fett S1 and SLV1.
The Star War badges are great, but Davies has created a whole collection of geeky automotive emblems for us – MST3K, Wolverine, Atari, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Star Trek and even Harry Potter get in on the car branding fun. And the best part is, the badges don't cost an arm and leg. Depending on how you're looking to rebrand your whip you won't spend more that $15 on each emblem.
Bumper stickers are fun, but if you want to get serious about your sci-fi obsession this is definitely the way to go.
