EXCLUSIVE: 'The Princess Bride' Director Rob Reiner On the Longest Sword Fight In Film

Reiner is joined by stars Cary Elwes and Robin Wright to look back on the lengthy, complicated sword fight in the 25-year-old fantasy comedy.

In the clip below, Elwes talks about how he and co-star Mandy Patinkin in the roles of Westley and Inigo, were coached in what Reiner hoped would be the longest sword fight in film history. Their goal was to beat the fight time of the centerpiece fight in 1952's "Scaramouche," the swashbuckling adventure film with Stewart Granger set during the French Revolution.

And it wasn't just duration Reiner was going for--check out the clip for some of the technical challenges he threw his actors' way in trying to nail the scene and make it look suitably complex for audiences.
