This morning I woke up with the "Jurassic Park" theme stuck in my head and, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why. I haven't watched the movie in years and the theme song really isn't that cool. Turns out my brain was browsing the web while I slept again and rumor has it an Australian billionaire has plans to create a real-life "Jurassic Park"...
According to a recent report from the Sunshine Coast Daily's Kathy Sundstrom, citing a person in Clive Palmer's inner circle, the eccentric billionaire supposedly has a secret plan to clone a dinosaur the same way fictional scientists did in Michael Chrichton's novel. The attraction would supposedly tie-in to a new resort in the Middle East, which is also rumored to have 20-story sky needle and an enormous ferris wheel.
Unfortunately, there's no word just yet on what kind of dinosaur Palmer would try to clone, but we're really hoping it isn't anything that can fly over here and chew our faces off. A triceratops or some other herbivore would be a good place to start. At least until they figure out the whole containment situation.
For now, this is just a rumor and we plan on taking the news with a grain of salt (and suggest you do the same). Either way, if we hear anything more on the subject we'll be sure to fill you in. Until then, hit the comments and tell us what prehistoric creature you'd most like to see!
