Exclusive Clip: Check Out This Cut From Noboru Iguchi's 'Dead Sushi'

The latest from the Machine Girl director is making its premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival in a couple of weeks and you can get a good look at sushi nunchaku style in this exclusive clip.

The horror-comedy teams Iguchi with singer and High Kick Girl star Rina Takeda (she could kick very high in that film).

This is the second team-up between the actress and the frequent Sushi Typhoon collaborator, bringing a gory exploitation bent to the sushi bar. Here, Takeda plays the daughter of a severe sushi chef who minds herself menaced kill killer raw fish, and wouldn't you know it, she's got the skills to chop the sushi of the dead into even smaller pieces and send it back to the netherworld.

Here's the official synopsis:

21-year-old martial arts prodigy and Sony Music Artists performer Rina Takeda is Keiko, the daughter of a legendary sushi chef, who runs away from home when his kung fu-like regimen becomes too severe. Finding work at a rural hot springs inn, she is ridiculed by the eccentric staff and guests, including the employees of a pharmaceutical firm there on a work vacation. But little do they know that a disgruntled former researcher has also come to the inn with a plan for revenge, using a serum he developed that can awaken the murderous instincts of ordinary sushi, turning it into bloodthirsty monsters! Keiko must use both her sushi training and her martial arts skills to save the others and defeat the flying killers in Noboru Iguchi's tasty new horror/comedy DEAD SUSHI!

Dead Sushi will make its North American premiere at the FIFF 2012 on July 22nd. You can find details and ticketing information here.
