SDCC 2012: Kotobukiya Brings a Bevy of Marvel And Tekken Femme Fatales to the Big Show

At the San Diego Comic-Con International 2012, it looks like Kotobukiya has a theme for their exclusives with all four being variants of their insanely popular Bishoujo line of statues. Not only that, but they’re spreading the love around the con with the gray costumed Black Widow being distributed by Shop AFX! So, that means standing in two long lines, but for four incredible statues. Not bad. Well, it IS– but that’s sadly just the way of SDCC. Read on for info on Black Widow, X-23, Storm, and Arisa along with plenty of photos from Kotobukiya!

Black Widow Gray Costume Bishoujo Statue Variant

Exclusively available during SDCC 2012 at the Shop AFX booth #3345

Limited Edition of 2000, Kotobukiya is proud to present an all-new rendition of the popular marvel Comics character: Black Widow Covert Ops Gray Costume Limited Edition Bishoujo Statue.

Sculpted by Masahiro Takahashi (based on an illustration by Shunya Yamashita, famed Japanese illustrator) hints at Black Widow’s past with the inclusion a Hawkeye mask on the base. This new release brings Black Widow to life in a larger 1/7 scale sculpt to match the current (and future) scale of the Bishoujo line. Dynamic pose captures Black Widow in action lending a sense of movement to the entire piece, and includes interchangeable parts to display with or without the knife.

X-23 X-Force Version Bishoujo Statue

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! The popular Marvel Bishoujo collection (combining iconic super heroines and villains with traditional Japanese stylings) continues to bring you the amazing beauties of the Marvel Comics Universe, as you’ve never seen them before. Not withholding her rage this time around, X-23 in her X-Force outfit is still ready for anything. She crouches on one knee, ever alert for danger with her weapons extended; her wicked Adamantium claws are quite eye-catching on both hands and her right foot. Highly detailed sculpting brings out the intricacies of X-23’s banded and laced boots, her unique linked-ring belt with a red-hued X-Force emblem, and medallion necklace.

The intricate details of her clothing and streaming hair are further accentuated by her a beautiful Bishoujo styled face. And if all of that wasn’t cool enough, the X-Woman even comes with removable lightning-hand effects!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Alisa Bosconovich Mishima Zaibatsu
Exclusive Color Version Bishoujo Statue

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! With its thrilling martial arts action, the Tekken series of video games from Namco has been a huge hit with players since the original arcade game in 1994. In the games, fighters compete in the King of Iron Fist tournament for control of the Mishima Zaibatsu Corporation, using their unique talents against their opponents. Following up on the capoeira master Christie Monteiro is Alisa Bosconovich, in her Mishima Zaibatsu designated colors! An android with detachable limbs, this elite and beautiful fighter appears here based on an illustration by renowned Japanese artist Shunya Yamashita, known for his video game character designs and beautiful illustrations.

Strictly limited to 1500 pieces worldwide, this Mishima Zaibatsu edition of Alisa stands nearly 8 inches tall (1/7 scale) on a special customizable display base.
