Get your first look at the 2012 New York Asian Film Festival lineup in action!
More details about the fest after the jump.
If you’re a New York resident (or just local to the surrounding area), I can think of no better event to put on your summer calendar than NYAFF. The 2012 festival kicks off next Friday, the 29th with War of the Arrows and runs through Thursday, July 12th.
This year’s festival (the 11th since it launched in 2002) is a collaboration with the Film Society of Lincoln Center. In addition to Takashi Miike’s live-action adaptation of the Capcom game Ace Attorney series making its East Coast debut, the festival will also spotlight Hong Kong films 15 years after the handover to mainland China, and there’s a slew of guests planned for this year including Donnie Yen (Ip Man, SPL) and Old Boy star Choi Min Sik.
It’s hot outside. Go see some spectacular Asian cinema. You can find out more about the NYAFF on their official page.
