Kevin Smith: 'Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie' Scheduled For 2013

Writer, Director, and all-around dude Kevin Smith hopped on Reddit recently for an "AMA" (Ask Me Anything)...and spilled the beans on the next Jay & Silent Bob movie. This time, it's going to be animated.

Entitled "Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie," the movie is slated for next year. Why do the next "Jay & Silent Bob" in animation? "We're cartoon whores here at SModCo," Smith admitted. He also said that his SModcast Pictures will do a tour similar to the one they did for "Red State USA" to promote their first animated feature.

Smith's SModCo YouTube channel is currently rolling out weekly cartoons, which you can watch here. Of course, this will not be the first time Jay and Silent Bob will be tooned-up; they appeared in "Clerks: The Animated Series", which ran for 6 episodes in 2000. If you can't wait for 2013 for more Smith goodness, be sure to check out his new Hulu movie review series "Spoilers," and AMC's "Comic Book Men" (which was recently picked up for a 2nd season).
