‘Legend of Korra’ Voice Actor Steve Blum Sets Guinness Record for Most Game VO Roles

The voice actor, who plays the anti-bender terrorist on The Legend of Korra racks up 261 voice acting roles!

That’s the running total as of May 10th, for the actor who’s lent his voice to everything from Green Lantern: Emerald Knights to Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker. Later this year, he’ll be playing The Joker and Bane in LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes as well as Wolverine in both Ultimate Spider-Man and the X-Men anime from Madhouse. Most audiences might know him a little better as both suave bounty hunter Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop as well as hot-tempered killer Mugen in Samurai Champloo.

It would be an understatement to describe him as prolific, but chances are if you’ve watched something animated on TV or played a game in the last 15 years or so, Blum had a role in it.

His current role on Korra sees him leading a resistance movement of non-benders against the supernaturally-powered benders of the capital city, blaming them for everything from lost jobs to injured and murdered men, women, and children.
