Felicia Day To Have Own YouTube Channel, “Geek And Sundry”

By Danica Davidson

Felicia Day of “The Guild” is putting together her own YouTube channel, Geek & Sundry, to celebrate all that is indie and geeky. The channel, which debuts April 2, has announced six original series, and boasts original content from Wil Wheaton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), comedic musical duo Paul and Storm, Veronica Belmont and Tom Merritt (“Sword & Laser”), and motion comics from Dark Horse.

That means that, in the Dark Horse part, we’ll get to see a new DH inspired motion comic every Wednesday. Characters like “Hell Boy,” “Conan the Barbarian” and “Usagi Yojimbo” have been promised in the official press release.

Dark Horse’s first foray into Geek & Sundry will be with a forty minute horror video called “The Secret,” debuting April 2 with the channel.

“This is an exciting new extension of our comics business,” said Dark Horse President Mike Richardson, who will be producing the shows with Erik Bruhwiler directing. “Our technology is state of the art and the tales are extremely engaging. Add Erik’s genius to some of the greatest creators in the comics business and the project becomes irresistible.”

“We’re so incredibly excited to produce and develop a channel based on what we think the fans will enjoy the most,” said Day. “From Dark Horse Comics to Wil Wheaton, there’s a killer team of talent on camera and off that will help build on the success of The Guild and Dragon Age: Redemption.”
