The final scene in the Game of Thrones season 1 finale was unforgettable. Seeing Daenerys Targaryen emerge with her newly hatched dragons in hand was just the coolest thing that could have happened and now we can relive that moment for years to come thanks to this awesome Daenerys Targaryen bust from Dark Horse and HBO.
The bust was sculpted by the talented team at Gentle Giant Studios in the likeness of Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys on the hit HGO series. Each bust is a hand-numbered, limited edition piece (quantity hasn't been announced) worthy of a prominent place in any collection and stands 7” tall. The base pulls everything together drawing inspiration from the show's opening sequence and designed to mimic weathered, carved wood.
Completion of the piece demanded three months of hard work moving from concept to sculpting and painting. To ensure the bust's high-quality, Dark Horse and HBO Licensing were on hand daily to supervise the piece's progress and it clearly paid off.
Unfortunately, it's not available quite yet, but pre-orders are being accepted through Entertainment Earth. If you want to pick one you'll have to come off about $150 and it should should in July of 2012.
Game of Thrones season 2 premieres April 1st on HBO at 9pm
