LEGO Minecraft Sets Officially Revealed, Pre-Orders Now Available

We were pretty excited when we first saw how much support LEGO Minecraft was getting on LEGO CUUSOO, and when it was finally official we were blown away. Now that the long process of product review and design is over the LEGO CUUSOO blog has revealed images of the first LEGO Minecraft set we'll see in stores.

Officially named LEGO Minecraft Micro World the set will come with parts to build four cubic modular vignettes that you can connect to recreate the Minecraft experience in LEGO bricks. One Minecraft block works out to be a single 1x1 plate with a tile on top in the LEGO world – it's not a perfect cube but the team at LEGO decided this was the way to go at the chosen scale. The set will include Steve and a Creeper, and the surface of the modules comes off to reveal mines and hidden areas beneath.

Now that the design process is officially finished the LEGO Minecraft Micro World will be heading into production and LEGO says they'll be highlighting the process over the coming months and we may even get “sneak peek into the factory as it comes off the line.”

The sets won't be hitting shelves until this summer, but if you want to be one of the first people to get your grubby hands on the LEGO Minecraft Micro World you can pre-order exclusively through J!NX for about $35.
