Toy Fair 2012: Peavey and Marvel Reveal New Super Hero Guitars And More!

You can find Marvel super heroes on just about everything these days – phone cases, t-shirts, drinking glasses, you name it. At Toy Fair 2012 Peavey Electronics and Marvel teamed up to reveal a full line of Peavey guitars emblazoned with artwork featuring legendary Marvel characters including The Hulk, Wolverine and Spider-Man.

"From the largest and loudest sound systems on the planet to iconic comic superheroes, Peavey and Marvel are both known for larger-than-life creations," said Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics. "Musicians, music fans and comic aficionados alike will find a lot of fun and inspiration in these new musical instruments featuring their favorite Marvel Super Heroes."

The new line includes half-size acoustic guitars, three-quarter size electric guitars, full-size RockMaster electric guitars and full-size Predator electric guitars. Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man and Thor show up on both acoustic and electric guitars in the series while the X-Men and Deadpool designs seen below are reserved for the RockMaster line. Ghost Rider also makes an appearance in the line, but that artwork is only available on the Predator electric guitar.

Obviously if you pick up a Marvel guitar you going to need some Marvel accessories to match, and Peavey has that covered too. There are 18 different guitar straps available and 4 different pick sets, all of which feature the characters mentioned above along with additional characters such as The Punisher, Nick Fury, Phoenix and members of the Fantastic Four.

If you want to snag a Marvel guitar from Peavey you'll be looking at a price tag anywhere from $60 for the a half-size acoustic to as much as $400 for the full-size Predator electric guitars. The leather straps will set you back about $40 while a pack of 12 picks comes in at $10. Head over to for all the info.
