Steve Niles knows the world of horror. He’s the mind behind 30 Days of Night, which was turned into a movie, and Criminal Macabre, among other works. Now Dark Horse is announcing their involvement with his latest project, Nosferatu Wars.
Niles has teamed up with artist Mention3 to put this vampire story together. He’s already shown some of the artwork through Twitter, and it got the internet alive with interest about this dark new work that’s putting vampires back into the world of horror.
There will be a vampire wedding night in this series, but the two vampires getting hitched are separated and five hundred years pass. This separation may not seem like something that would impact many people, but it promises to set off “a sequence of events that will bring the modern world to its knees!”
“I haven’t been this excited about working on something in a long time,” Niles said in an official press release. “Menton3 is the perfect artist and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be doing this at Dark Horse. This year I’m making a big push to become 100 percent creator owned. Nosferatu Wars will be a big part of that, I hope.”
Nosferatu Wars will debut later this year in Dark Horse Presents. 30 Days of Night, Niles’s best-known title, also deals with vampires, so you know this is a subject matter he likes to sink his teeth into.
