'Game of Thrones' Season 2 Has a Premiere Date

Second season on the way April 1st on HBO.

For some of you, that date may seem a long way off, but consider this: in that time, you'll have a chance to read the first novel (if you haven't done so already) and revisit the first season of HBO's hit fantasy. The first season's final scene alone should be enough to have you anticipating what HBO has in store in terms of bringing season two to life, but the network has also been doing a good job stoking interest with tantalizing teaser trailers and slow and steady casting and location revelations. The series has been shooting primarily in Belfast as well as in and around Northern Ireland, so if anything, you know the production will be certainly look good (something that was likewise never a problem for the first season).

Here's looking forward to what's in store for season two when it makes its start on April 1st. And you can pick up the first season on DVD and Blu-ray on March 6th.
