Build An Army Of Robot Figures At

If it were up to us everyone would have a legion of robot servants, or at the very least a robot sidekick. Sadly it's not up to us, so we're just going to have to settle for the next best thing, a legion of miniature robot avatars from

The website uses 3D printing technology to make users their very own plastic robot figure. We get to choose the arms, legs, head and torso from a varied selection of parts and then color it up as we see fit. There are also other parts that we can use for eyes and while trying the service out I was even able to create a pretty nifty jet pack for my 'bot. It's all about customization and your personal taste.

The robot figures range in height from 2-inches to 6-inches and the cost of each 'bot starts at about $18 and goes all the way up to $170 based on the height you choose. You can even add "stamps" to your robot to give it a certain look. For instance, I added a bunch of rust and dirt “stickers” to one I was working on that made it look like some kind of old junkyard robot Wall-E used to hang around with. As for the one above... Well, he's just having a bad day.

There are so many different options for the robot figures I can't help but think this would be great personalized gift for the geek in your life. If you're using Google Chrome you can go here to gain access from the web store or just head over to and start building. Even if you don't plan on buying one it's still a fun way to kill some time and you should definitely check it out.
