Flyboard Turns Riders Into A Water-Logged Iron Man! (video)

Everyone dreams of flying and what better way to do that than with a jet pack? We've talked about the JetLev water-propelled jet pack before – including the hilarious TV news incident – but the Flyboard will make you look like some kind of weird Iron Man / Aquaman hybrid with water jets strapped to your feet and hands instead of your back.

Created by French water sports master, Frank Zapata, the Flyboard is comprised of a rider platform that's connected to a long hose and a water jet. Anyone ballsy enough to strap in can soar to heights close to 30ft using the Iron Man-style hand jets to steer, stay balanced and perform some pretty insane aerial stunts.

The main thrust comes from below the riders feet and makes the Flyboard seem more like a flying snowboard of sorts than jet pack. All of the actual lift power is drawn from a PWC (Jet Ski, Sea-Doo, etc.) which makes the Flyboard's price much more reasonable than the JetLev, coming in at about $6,500. You'll still need a PWC if you don't have one, which can cost upwards of $10,000, but that's to price we'll have to pay if want to fly. You can see the Flyboard and it's talented riders in action below.
