The Hollywood Reporter has detailed a deal between Green and Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Productions with John Harvantin IV and Eric Towner's Buddy Systems for Stoopid Buddy Studios, basically a one-stop home for both not only their own in-house stop-motion projects but externally developed stop-motion projects as well. 2012 will go down as the year that creators from Adult Swim spawned two completely separate stop-motion animated studios after Morel Orel and Frankenhole creator Dino Stamatopoulos shared with MTV Geek the news that he was also opening up his own animation studio in Burbank with Community creator Dan Harmon.
This has been a pretty busy year for Seth and Matt, with the summer launch of their Stupid Monkey YoutTube series (which Buddy Systems helped to produce), which has been generating live-action and animated shorts voiced by Robot Chicken regulars. On top of that, they've joined Jon Favreau in creating his upcoming ABC White House thriller. On top of that, the January 15th episode of Robot Chicken will be its 100th, which the show will be celebrating with an all-DC Comics tribute. Expect Aquaman to take a shot to the junk, likely get no respect.
