Ryno Motors Electric Unicycle Looks Fast, But It Isn't

Typically reserved for circus acts and clowns, unicycles have always intrigued us. Admittedly we probably wouldn't ever rush out to try riding one, but the curiosity has always been there. Personal transportation like the Solowheel only make the idea more interesting and a new electric unicycle from Ryno Motors is exactly what we’ve been looking for.

This sport bike/Segway hybrid may look like the speed demons we see haulin’ ass down the freeway, but it only goes 20 mph -- kind of a bummer. But, if you’re looking for a fun way to make a short commute to the office this could be the ticket. It will carry you about 30 miles on a single charge and, though not in production quite yet, Ryno Motors is shooting for a $4,200 price tag -- not bad for an electric ride.

If you can’t wait until the production models come out and money isn’t a problem you could splurge and get the limited edition pre-production model. It’s going to cost a bit more, coming in at $25,000, but you’ll be the only one on your block with a motor-unicycle this cool and if someone else happens to pick one up when they go into production you’ll still be able to brag about your super cool limited edition. What more could you ask for?
