SDCC 2011: Katee Sackhoff Talks 'Batman: Year One' (Video)

Katee Sackhoff is a Geek icon of sorts, not only for having starred as Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, but her appearances in Bionic Woman, Robot Chicken, Big Bang Theory, and much more. We caught up with Sackhoff in San Diego Comic-Con 2011 and chatted with her about providing voicework for the upcoming animated movie Batman: Year One.

Sackhoff commented on her role as Sarah Essen:

"I finally get to do something that my nephews don't have to get their eyes covered by my parents...but of course, I'm a homewrecker (in the movie)...why couldn't I actually not be a homewrecker in the the one thing I did that they could watch? (laughs). But it's cool...I'm really excited and honored to be in it!"

Essen is a detective that works with Lieutenant Gordon, the two working together to solve the mystery of a new vigilante in town. According to Sackhoff, Essen is also a bit of a femme fatale:

"She does some little...unsavory things where Mr. Gordon is concerned..."
