10,000-Piece Lego Star Wars Sandcrawler Is Remote Controlled!

They may seem a little shady when you consider they pick up random droids and sell them in what is pretty much a robot slave trade but, we love the Jawas in Star Wars. They're so awesome we just can’t stay mad at them. As you can see in these photos, Marshal Banana has quite a soft spot for Jawas too.

With the help of over 10,000 Lego bricks, he spent 9 months assembling this Jawa Sandcrawler ignoring not one single detail. The Sandcrawler is to-scale with the Lego mini-figs and the front hatch is motorized, lowering itself down at the push of a button. There’s even a motorized crane and conveyor belt able to lift stray droids into the belly of this beast.

Functioning lights, a completely finished interior and it’s ability to drive around and turn via remote controls make this one of the most complete (not to mention awesome) Star Wars Lego creations we’ve ever seen. Check out the video below to get a better look and see this labor of geek love in action.
