Popular manga creators CLAMP and studio Production I.G. will team up for a new Blood anime called Blood-C, according to May's issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Sh?nen Ace magazine. The Blood franchise started with I.G.'s Blood: The Last Vampire film in 2000, and was followed with the Blood+ television series, a live-action 2009 movie, as well as some manga spin-offs. Blood-C is slated to launch in July.
CLAMP will be doing story and character designs on Blood-C, and I.G. will handle the animation. Also announced was a manga adaptation of Blood-C, by Ranmaru Kotone, which will debut May 26 in the July issue of Sh?nen Ace.
