Ryan Gosling's 'Big Short' Wig Is Slightly Disturbing: Yes Or No?

Gosling undergoes quite the transformation in "The Big Short."

There are only two things the Internet can seem to agree on: one, cats are cute, fluffy jerks and two, Ryan Gosling is a gorgeous man. (OK, so maybe there's a bit of a debate on the latter.)

Anyway, in his latest film, "The Big Short," Gosling undergoes a serious transformation into a version of slick Deutsche Bank trader Greg Lippmann, thanks to one disturbingly brunette wig.

"It was really just powered by the wig," the 35-year-old actor told New York magazine about getting into character. "It was a hair-fueled performance. It's really like a Samson kind of a story. It took about a half-hour to put on every morning. It was kind of a nice way to start the day. I have never really worked much in that way, you know, in terms of, like... altering my appearance.

In other words, "The Big Short" was his first time playing a character who wasn't so genetically gifted. We can't all have your perfectly straight, sandy blonde locks, Gosling.

"I just remember, the first time I stepped out of the trailer in makeup, Steve Carell was there, and he looked at me and very seriously said, 'Never do this again. Do it for this, but never, ever do this again.'"

Stop being so dramatic, guys. It's not that bad.
