Mark Millar's 'Kindergarten Heroes' Go To The Movies

Kindergarten Heroes

Mark Millar's movie mayhem is set to continue, with 20th Century Fox coming aboard to adapt the comic book writer's "Kindergarten Heroes."

Deadline has the news, reporting that Carter Blanchard has been hired to write a film based on the Millar project. As the name implies, "Kindergarten Heroes" is considerably more kid-friendly than some of Millar's other more adult-oriented projects like "Kick-Ass" and "Secret Service." Don't expect to see any swear-spewing, limb-slicing Hit-Girls running amok in this one, in other words.

As he's wont to do, Millar took to his own website to comment on the "Kindergarten Heroes" news, saying that it was always "planned as a franchise from Fox with the mighty [Simon] Kinberg on producer duties. White-hot screenwriter Carter Blanchard is doing the screenplay, snapped up by Spielberg for his most recent gig, and this is all looking very cool indeed."

"Kindergarten Heroes," first announced in early 2012, has yet to be released by UK publishing house Books Noir. The book comes equipped with illustrations from artist Curtis Tiegs.
