Loki may have an army of fans over in our realm, but he's still a rather lonely guy over in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor has Jane Foster, Loki has... literature. Seriously, for being a character that drives women wild, Loki has had zero luck with the ladies, human, Asgardian, Chitauri or otherwise. That's something that "Thor: The Dark World" actor Tom Hiddleston wants to change, according to a new interview with Total Film
The interviewer brought up Enchantress, the enticing sorceress who aided Loki in his quest to torment Thor on a number of occasions. It turns out that Hiddleston is quite aware of the alluring Asgardian.
"When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore, and may have even pitched it to [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige at some point," said Hiddleston. "Because she is as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was."
Hiddleston even explained what their big screen relationship might look like, saying, "They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, 'You know what? I don't trust you as far as I can throw you. It's over.' Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good."
But here's the thing with a charming crush-worthy character like Loki: do fans want to see him romantically involved with anyone, especially someone like Enchantress who's whole M.O. would be manipulating him as much as he manipulates her? True, this pairing could prove awesome enough to provide Tumblr with a ton of OTP material, and the thought of a Bonnie and Clyde-esque caper film starring Loki and Enchantress would be awesome.
Whether or not we'll ever see Enchantress in a Marvel movie depends on how well "Thor: The Dark World" does when it opens on November 8th, and also what shape Loki's left in when the credits start to roll.
