'Thor: The Dark World': Tom Hiddleston Discusses Film's New Loki-Filled Footage

Even if you aren't an active member of Hiddles' Army, you have to agree that more Loki is always a good thing. Thankfully, Tom Hiddleston and the people behind this fall's "Thor: The Dark World" thought the exact same thing.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Hiddleston opened up about the new scenes he shot for the upcoming Marvel movie, scenes that add in even more of the god of mischief.

"I don't know quite how the decision was made, but we weren't redoing things we'd done before," explained Hiddleston. "We were adding new stuff. So that was fun for me. And some of the things were scenes I'd actually pitched for a long time ago."

Hiddleston talked a bit more about his role in crafting the new scenes, praising the collaborative process that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has fostered.

"Well, the thing about Kevin Feige is he's very, very open and collaborative," revealed Hiddleston. "And he and Louis D'Esposito, who run the studio—I find it very admirable that they're open to ideas. Possibly more now than they would have been the first go-around. Chris Hemsworth and myself have lived inside these characters for two movies now and we've been inside every scene and we know what works and we know what doesn't work."

Director Alan Taylor previously talked a bit about the reshoots last month in another interview, saying that the additional scenes were all designed to "plus" the movie, as Feige would say.

"We're doing full scenes—scenes that were not in the movie before," Taylor told Collider. "We're adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time. I think the one you're talking to [with Hiddleston] was sort of a fun, connective scene that was just—we realized how well Loki was working in the movie and we wanted to do more with him."

Head over to the Huffington Post interview for Hiddleston's story about reprising his famous role during Marvel's Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con International. "Thor: The Dark World" opens on November 8th, and keep your eyes peeled for Hiddleston's extra Loki footage.
