Just through all the casting announcements, "Arrow's" second season is starting to take a firm shape. The CW drama has just added "The Killing's" Bex Taylor-Klaus to its cast, with the actress scheduled to appear in the season's third and fourth episodes as the character Sin.
TV Line describes Taylor-Klaus' character as "a wayward youth" who is "befriended by the Black Canary." She also boasts a connection with new regular character Roy Harper.
Taylor-Klaus' casting might come as a surprise to comic book fans familiar with her character; Sin has been depicted as a young child in the care of Black Canary. This version of Sin is older but, as the description states, still tied to Black Canary. The comic book character was being groomed to be the next Lady Shiva—a highly trained assassin—so one has to wonder if this Sin will have any of those skills.
The expanded cast already includes Colton Haynes' Roy Harper, Manu Bennett's Slade Wilson, and Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak full-time, with Black Canary (Caity Lotz) set to appear early on in the season, and villain China White (Kelly Hu) scheduled to mix it up with Oliver Queen in the season's second episode. A little later in the season we'll see the debut of Barry Allen, the man who will become the Flash.
Even with the influx of so much new blood, producer Marc Guggenheim has assured fans that the show will remain grounded in tone. And with all of these guest-stars, one has to wonder if these could be the members of super-team that has been rumored to appear this season.
