Guillermo Del Toro Discusses Tying 'Justice League Dark' Into 'Man Of Steel'

by Brett White

While promoting his new film "Pacific Rim," director Guillermo Del Toro gave a brief update about his DC Comics film, "Justice League Dark." Del Toro has been working on the film - which would bring together several of DC Comics' mystical antiheroes together in one team - for a while now. He last gave an update about the film, which has been alternately called "Dark Universe," back in April when he attended Wondercon. But a lot has changed since April, namely DC having a monster hit with "Man of Steel." When asked if he would consider making his in-the-works film an installment in a larger DC cinematic universe, Del Toro seemed open to the idea.

"I think the thing about the 'Dark Universe,' you have this possibility of basically creating a supernatural group, and you can play by different rules, but I would love to see the DC Universe become as cohesive as the Marvel film universe. So if there's any correlation, I will honor it."

Del Toro also discusses whether or not the "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." TV series canceled his plans for a Hulk television series. You can check out the full interview below.
