Marvel Is Bringing 'Captain America,' 'Thor' And 'Spider-Man' To Comic-Con

Captain America

No big surprise here, but great news all the same: Marvel is coming to Comic-Con.

Marvel Studios announced plans this week to bring presentations of "Thor: The Dark World" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" to Comic-Con in San Diego later this month. They'll host a panel on Saturday, July 20, touting their upcoming sequels — but smart money says they'll have a lot more to talk about than just the God of Thunder and the star-spangled super-soldier, if Marvel's past Comic-Con appearances are any indication.

It's not just Marvel Studios making a splash at Comic-Con, either. Sony and Columbia Pictures have announced a panel for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," taking place on Friday, July 19. The panel will bring actors from the movie to the San Diego stage to face the fans: series lead Andrew Garfield; Dane DeHaan, the newly-minted Harry Osborn; and Jamie Foxx, joining the "Spider-Man" universe as the bright-blue Electro.
