It’s up, up and away for Superman at the box-office.
After three weeks in theaters, “Man of Steel” has soared to a domestic total of $248.6 million, after landing in fifth place this past weekend with $20.8 million added to the pile. The Henry Cavill-starring superhero flick was just $5 million shy of beating “White House Down,” Sony’s action flick that debuted to a meager $25.7 million.
But that’s not all: “Man of Steel” has stirred up $271.7 million in foreign grosses, bringing its worldwide tally to $520.3 million. That’s a big result for the comic book icon, and a sure sign that fans want to take a look at the greater DC Cinematic Universe. Bring it on, WB!
