The "Sin City" sequel might be a movie to kill for — but you won't be killing for it until next year.
Dimension Films have announced that "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" won't hit its previously announced October 4, 2013 release date as originally expected. Instead, the film has been delayed by nearly a full year. It's now arriving on August 22, 2014.
The release date shift is just the latest setback in a long line of delays surrounding the "Sin City" sequel. Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller have been trying to get "A Dame to Kill For" off the ground since shortly after their first "Sin City" movie landed as a fan-favorite comic book adaptation.
On the bright side, we can be reasonably sure that we'll actually get to see "A Dame to Kill For" some day, as various roles have been cast, and numerous actors have already finished filming their portions of the movie.
Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Eva Green are just a few of the newcomers to "Sin City" this go around. They join returning players Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis and more.
