'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' TwitPic: Michael Fassbender Finally Shows Up!

by Brett White

It's about time you showed up, Michael Fassbender! Where've you been hiding? Bryan Singer's already tweeted pics of, like, all your friends, man! James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, even all those guys who graduated a while ago. Sheesh!

So we finally have a photo of Michael Fassbender on the set of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," most likely on the 1973 side of the story (check out those pants and ascot!). Check out the full picture and tweet below.

So it looks like Magneto is either taking off from or landing at the X-Mansion, or any other similarly old and ornate place of residence. And yeah, he's wearing some very far out duds in this shot, though his head situation is nowhere near as dire as Professor X's. Maybe Erik showed up to give Charles a haircut? Or take part in a mustache intervention?

Now let's zoom in on Magneto and check out his retro look...

I do like Magneto's getup here. It looks like an early '70s adaptation of his classic purple and red suit; the trenchcoat gives him the same silhouette that a cape would without being, you know, a cape. His shirt and pants are both in the red and purple family, fitting with his color scheme. And then there's the ascot which, you know, between this and "Mad Men" season six, maybe the antiquated neck wear is due for a come back.
