Is there a "Secret" in Leonardo DiCaprio's life? According to a new report, the answer could very well be yes, and could very well be awesome.
ContactMusic.com (via ComicBookMovie) reports the interesting rumor that DiCaprio is eyeing a role in "The Secret Service," director Matthew Vaughn's new thriller based on the comic book series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Dave Gibbons.
According to the report, DiCaprio wouldn't be delivering a heroic turn for the super-spy drama. Instead, he would be saddling up as the film's villain. It would mark yet another major bad-guy turn for the former Oscar nominee, following up on his deeply disturbing turn as slaveowner Calvin Candie in Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained."
The news is far from official, mind you. But the movie needs to start casting up soon, one way or the other, given its scheduled November 2014 release date. As of now, the only confirmed actor for the project is Oscar winner Colin Firth. Firth plays a veteran secret agent, who recruits his young nephew into joining a spy school that turns troublemakers into charming secret agents a la James Bond.
So mark this news in the rumor category for now, but cross your fingers hard enough and it might just come true.
