The July 2013 issue of Empire Magazine contains just as much "Wolverine" goodness as the cover promises. Now a few images and passages from the magazine's "Wolverine" coverage has made its way online, and they offer a bit of insight into this summer's mutant movie and reveal star Hugh Jackman's expectations for 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Aside from a few new stills from the film, some of which can be seen below, the article contains an "X-Men: Days of Future Past" endorsement from Hugh Jackman that is sure to make every comic book fan excited. But first, Jackman revealed that his involvement in the film wasn't a certainty, as far as he was concerned.

"I thought, I wonder if they'll want me to cameo again?" he told Empire. Then he was presented with an eight page synopsis of the film, which blew him away. "I was like, 'Okay, this is a slam-dunk idea. This, actually, is phenomenal. I think this will be, for X-Men, like 'The Avengers.'"

Jackman had more to say about the non-Fox Marvel properties to Screen Rant. The actor expressed a desire for the Fox and Marvel to team-up, stating that he'd like to mix it up with Robert Downey Jr. and company on the big screen.

"I actually just asked the other day, I said, 'I don't know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies come together? Why isn't it possible?' Because personally, I would love to mix it up with Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man and kick his ass. It'd be great."

It stands to reason that this quote was taken before director Bryan Singer announced Quicksilver's inclusion in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," barely a week after Joss Whedon publicly revealed his plans for the character in Marvel's "Avengers 2." And now things don't look to be going so well between Marvel and Fox. They should really take Jackman's advice and play nicely, because a film team-up between Wolverine and Iron Man would probably make all the money.

Back to Empire, the magazine's cover shows off a new "Wolverine" poster and contains a few new stills from the film.
