EW has unveiled the wrap poster given to the cast and crew of “Iron Man 3.” The poster harkens back to the days of serialized mystery fiction, taking inspiration from novel series like “The Hardy Boys.” The poster touts “Iron Man 3” as “A New Tony Stark Mystery” and nails every other detail found on vintage book covers, from the simple spine, cheap cover price and distressed edges. The artist has yet to be revealed.*
While the poster was only made available to the lucky few who brought “Iron Man 3” to life, one lucky winner will be able to frame it in their living room thanks to a contest by Entertainment Weekly and the CapeTown Film Festival.
You can check out the full poster below.
*UPDATE: The artist has been revealed! Artist Paolo Rivera created the image, as revealed on his blog. Rivera is an incredibly versatile artist whose breathtaking work has been seen on such Marvel Comics as “Amazing Spider-Man” and “Daredevil.” He’s one of the best artists working today, and it makes total sense finding out that he cooked up this awesome poster.
