'Red 2' Trailer: Still Retired, Still Extremely Dangerous

Red 2

After a week of character posters, the new trailer for "Red 2" has arrived. This new look at the upcoming movie shows the series' retired CIA agents stuck in even more extreme circumstances than they were in 2010's "Red."

This time that means they need to team up with Anthony Hopkins' character Edward Bailey, a man who has been locked in an insane asylum for 32 years. Hopkins plays the slightly unhinged man hilariously, especially when he refuses to accept how old he actually is.

Another new addition to the franchise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, also looks like she'll be a scene-stealer. Based on what's seen here, she is Frank Moses' ex who's still got a torch for her old flame. Tensions seem to rise high enough for Mary-Louise Parker's Sarah Ross to admit, "I hate her so much." We have a feeling we'll love her.

Directed by Dean Parisot, "Red 2" is due in theaters on July 19. Here's the official plot synopsis:

"In 'Red 2,' the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world -- and stay alive in the process."
