"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has been shooting for a few weeks now, and there are finally photos to prove it. The photos confirm a number of things previously told to us (these first two sentences really paint me as a lot more skeptical than I actually am... or do they?!). First confirmation: Captain America has a new suit that owes a lot to his Super-Soldier duds from a few years back. Second confirmation: Captain American and Black Widow will a dynamic duo in the film. Both of these tidbits are exciting. Seeing them captured in photographs? Ridiculously exciting.
I have to note that Scarlett Johansson is wearing some sort of elaborate harness. This looks more like something used to make a stunt happen, unless Black Widow is attached to a parachute just off camera. Other thing to note: Black Widow's hair is straight for the first time in a Marvel film. I fully acknowledge that it's a bit sexist to comment on the female hero's hair, but it's really the only thing different about her look. She's still wearing an all black suit and fingerless gloves. I also wouldn't bring it up if Black Widow's hair wasn't as great as it was in "Marvel's the Avengers." I mean, look at it!
But Black Widow is not defined by her hair.
Since directors Joe and Anthony Russo don't seem to have Twitter accounts, I'm guessing that on-set glimpses will be few and far between. Someone get Marc Webb and Bryan Singer on the phone with those guys, stat.
