'Captain America: The Winter Soldier': Georges St-Pierre Grows Out His Hair For Batroc

Georges Batroc

by Brett White

Georges St-Pierre revealed a bit about his role as Batroc the Leaper in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" to Sportsnet Canada. The UFC Welterweight Champion was cast as the Captain America villain a few weeks ago in a move that makes total sense. He's a French-speaking Quebecer playing Marvel's premiere French nemsis, and his UFC background proves that he has the moves. He's currently trying to prove that he also has the facial hair for the role.

"I let my [facial] hair grow for my role in 'Captain America 2.' It took me a month to grow this. I'm not a hairy guy. This is a lot of work... They asked me to let my hair [on my head] grow to play a villain."

The interviewer continued by asking obviously the most important question: will St-Pierre be able to grow a mustache as amazing as Batroc's? "I don't know what they're going to do with that... They don't have much to work with."

You can check out the full interview below; The "Captain America" portion begins at 1:14.

St-Pierre mentions that he'll only be filming in Los Angeles for a week, which sounds like Batroc will probably appear in one fight scene and then bounce. Literally, because Batroc jumps a lot. That's his thing.

Hopefully we'll get a good look at St-Pierre's mustache in the next few months after he wraps on the film. If not, April 4th, 2014 will have to do.
