Shailene Woodley, also known as Mary Jane Watson to all you Spider-Fans, was spotted exiting a hotel in Soho with bags in hand and without M.J.'s signature red hair. Woodley wrapped shooting what has been called a very small role as Peter Parker's most well-known love interest in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." Next on Woodley's plate is the film adaptation of the dystopian novel "Divergent," where she will portray lead character Beatrice Prior.
We've had a blast bringing you all the latest Mary Jane Watson news over here at Splash Page. So before we say goodbye to the rising star, we thought we'd reminisce about the good times. It might help to cue up Boyz II Men's "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday." Ready? Here we go.
» Shailene was first rumored to be up for the role way back on October 10th. While not an obvious choice, we were still intrigued by this rumor.
» Woodley talked to MTV about the role back in January, and gushed about the first "Amazing Spider-Man" film.
» We got our first glimpse of Woodley as Mary Jane on February 26th. She sure looked the part while riding a motorcycle and flashing a winning smile.
So it's goodbye for now, Shailene Woodley. We'll be sure to catch up with you when "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" gets ready to swing into theaters...or if you have to do reshoots.
