Shawn Ashmore Knows 'Broad Strokes' Of 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'

Shawn Ashmore

It's a good time to be Shawn Ashmore. The actor is at the heart of Fox's new hit thriller "The Following," and he's also about to return to his most iconic role to date: Bobby "Iceman" Drake in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." He's just one of the many X-veterans returning for Bryan Singer's sequel, and Ashmore says he already knows what his part will involve.

"As negotiations were happening, there was definitely some communication over what the broad strokes of the character will be and what the storyline is so I have an idea," he tells Entertainment Weekly in a new interview. "I do specifically know what my part is in broad strokes. I can’t wait. I’m so excited."

"The fact that not only do we get to reunite and play around with a lot of the actors from the original three [films] but also these two worlds combining is kind of incredible," he continued.

Ashmore's lips are sealed regarding what's in store for Bobby. But he did tease that fans can expect to see how his relationship with Anna Paquin's Rogue has evolved since we last saw them.

"They’re constantly having these relationship issues so we’ll see what happens," he teased.
