'Planet Hulk' Rumor Is 'Nonsense,' Joss Whedon Says

Planet Hulk

If you were waiting for someone from Marvel to officially weigh in on those "Planet Hulk" rumors, then, well, here you go.

Joss Whedon, director of "The Avengers" and the forthcoming sequel, was asked about the Jade Giant's rumored trip to space in a "Planet Hulk" movie by IGN. His answer was not promising for those of you rooting for such a film.

"Well I’m really not supposed to comment, but no, that’s nonsense." was his only response to the "Planet Hulk" question.

For his part, El Mayimbe, author of the original "Planet Hulk" report, stands by his story: "All warfare is based on deception cool kids. If JJ Abrams can lie, so can Joss Whedon. All good, I got lots of nonsense in store for Marvel."

Hard not to take Whedon at face-value, but perhaps there's still hope for "Planet Hulk" yet. Either way, there will be no official confirmation of such a movie for years to come, we expect. Stay tuned for now.
