‘Wolverine’ Director James Mangold Tweets Behind-The-Scenes Photos

Just like Bryan Singer, Marc Webb and Jeff Wadlow, “The Wolverine” director James Mangold is doing his best to get fans hyped for his new movie by sharing plenty of tidbits from the set on social media. The latest image he’s posted shows production being completed on a gorgeous “The Wolverine” set.

“A shot from when we finished work on one of Francois Audouy’s amazing sets. There’s a world through that blast hole,” he tweeted.

That’s not the only image Mangold has shared with fans recently. He also released a photo of leading man Hugh Jackman looking extra buff chopping wood on a beach. It’s good to see Jackman has put back on all that weight he lost as Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables.”

“A production snap from shooting a wood chopping scene in Omishima. We found an eight inch caterpillar that morning,” Mangold tweeted.

While we’re all for these behind-the-scenes images — and even the official ones — we’re feeling a bit worn thin on “The Wolverine.” The first trailer for the movie won’t come out until “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” hits theaters on March 29, and that is still a month away. Considering “The Wolverine” is due out July 26, that month seems like a really long time to wait.
