That's a wrap! Production has finally finished on the pilot of "S.H.I.E.L.D.," which means it's off to the editing bay for showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon.
Tancharoen announced the exciting news with the above picture on her Instagram. "That's a wrap. #SHIELD," she posted. It still will be a while before fans get to see this episode -- if they do at all -- because the show has yet to be officially picked up by ABC. We can't see the network passing on this, though, especially as we head into the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 2. Fingers crossed this pilot will make its debut at Comic-Con regardless.
The initial lineup of "S.H.I.E.L.D." cast members includes Clark Gregg, Ming-Na, Brett Dalton, Tain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge, but don't expect that list to remain so small. When MTV News recently caught up with Cobie Smulders, she admitted that there's a chance Maria Hill could have a role in the series.
"It's happening, they're shooting right now and there's been discussions about Maria Hill being involved, that's all I can say. It's not ruled out, but you know you're going to have to tune in," she teased.
