CW Renews 'Arrow' For Season Two, Bowing Fall 2013

Enemies of "Arrow," beware: you won't be getting rid of Oliver Queen so easily.

The CW has officially announced that "Arrow" has been renewed for a second season, debuting in the fall of 2013. The network also announced renewals of "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diares."

"We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit ARROW and fan favorite SUPERNATURAL on Wednesday night, and the continued success of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that," said The CW's president Mark Pedowitz in a press release. "Not only do ARROW, SUPERNATURAL, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season."

Based on the DC Comics crime-fighter, "Arrow" has enjoyed strong and steady ratings all season long for the network. Its renewal isn't a surprise, but it's welcome news all the same for fans of the Emerald Archer.
