‘Arrow’ Posters Push Oliver Queen To The Breaking Point

Is Oliver Queen finally reaching his breaking point? Judging by the two new posters revealed for CW’s “Arrow,” it seems like Stephen Amell’s character is heading for some trying times.

The first poster, which shows the titular Green Arrow sporting his iconic hood and arrows, was tweeted out by Marc Guggenheim. It features the tagline, “Those closest to you can hurt you the most,” and was revealed on the same day that the “Arrow” crew was filming episode 18.

Episode 14, “The Odyssey,” will air on February 13, and expect this current arc of “Arrow” to continue to be charged with adrenaline. February sweeps continue through the 27th, and a sweeps poster — found by SpoilerTV — teases that things aren’t looking great “Arrow’s” leading man.

In the poster, a shirtless and royally pissed off Oliver Queen can be seen sitting crosslegged holding a broken arrow in his hand. “Mess with his friends and he may snap,” the tagline reads. That’s about as foreboding a warning as they come.

Here’s the official synopsis for “The Odyssey,” which features Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson:

” After Oliver (Stephen Amell) is shot, he turns to a surprising person for help – Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Diggle (David Ramsey) is stunned when he sees Felicity walk through the front door of the lair dragging a dying Oliver behind her, and the two team up to save Oliver’s life. As Oliver (Stephen Amell) hovers between life and death, he flashes back to a seminal event on the island – a daring escape attempt with his new friend Slade Wilson (guest star Manu Bennett). Katie Cassidy, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne and Susanna Thompson also star. John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim (#114).”
