FROM MTV GEEK: Congratulations are in order for Rick Baker, who receives his much-earned star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. You know Baker's work even if you don't know his name, and especially if you've seen this year's "Men in Black 3."
Baker is the mastermind behind the creatures in the "Men in Black" movies, "An American Werewolf in London" and "Hellboy," and the special makeup effects he creates truly are a work of art. Our friends over at MTV Geek have an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Baker's work on "Men in Black 3," which you can watch above.
"I've made more aliens for this film than both 'Men in Blacks' combined, times 10 I think," Baker admitted in the video. "Since 'Men in Black 3' had this cool time travel element, I thought it would be cool if we did things that looked like all the aliens from the old '60s movies and '50s movies and stuff. To be able to do my version of those classic science fiction aliens was a lot of fun."
Baker has earned seven Academy Awards over his career, the first being for his work on "An American Werewolf in London." He's also famous for designing the "werecat" creature in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video, which is arguably the most iconic music video of all time. "Men in Black 3" is out on Blu-ray and DVD today.
