Oliver Queen always hits his target, a fact that the decision makers at The CW are more than fully aware of. In fact, the network has decided that Starling City's emerald archer is such a hit that he'll be sticking around for a full season of television.
TV Line reports that "Arrow" has been granted a full season order by The CW, upping its first year's episode count to 22. It's hardly a surprise, considering that the series premiered as the network's most-watched episode of anything in three years, and barely missed a step in its following week.
Starring Stephen Amell, "Arrow" centers on Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy whose entire life changed five years ago when he was stranded on a deserted island. Upon his return to Starling City, he takes up the mantle of Arrow, a crime-fighting vigilante who uses his sharp-shooting skills to take down the corrupt and keep his city safe.
"Arrow" airs on The CW every Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.
