Bane Soundboard Makes 'Dark Knight' Villain (Slightly) More Comprehensible

Tom Hardy

If you're still trying to figure out what the heck Tom Hardy was saying as Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises," then we've got just the website to brighten up your Friday afternoon.

A Mega SWF user has put together a Bane soundboard that features 26 short soundbites from "The Dark Knight Rises." Do we understand half of what Bane says in the snippets from the film? No. Does it matter? Absolutely not. We now can spend hours perfecting the way Hardy manages to garble "peace has cost you your strength" and use it as a party trick. Our friends will love it, we're sure.

As we just recently realized that Heath Ledger was largely influenced by Tom Waits' speaking patterns for "The Dark Knight," we'll be interested to discover where Hardy got the idea for his lilting Caribbean-meets-Russian dialect in "The Dark Knight Rises." Did he go on vacation and decide he wanted the best of both worlds? Have a cousin going through puberty who inspired him to hit those various notes when he spoke? Or maybe he just decided to get revenge on all the fast food chains with unintelligible intercom systems. The world may never know.

Thank you Vulture for bringing this to our attention. We might use this every time we need to call our family to really spice things up.
