Robert Downey Jr. Injured On ‘Iron Man 3′ Set

With eight suits of high-tech armor and billions of dollars to create at least eight more at his disposal, it’s fair to say that being Tony Stark does not suck — most of the time, that is. Sometimes, the quick-with-a-quip hero’s high-flying ways leave him worse for wear, as is the case in recent events.

Disney and Marvel have issued a statement that Robert Downey Jr., star of the “Iron Man” franchise, was injured while shooting director Shane Black’s upcoming sequel. The actor “sustained an ankle injury” on the North Carolina set, and production will experience “a short delay” while he recuperates.

Here’s hoping you heal up quick, RDJ!
